Basic Purpose: The Product Analyst I is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and integrity of all APD products in the administration systems. The Product Analyst will work with members of the business community and collaborate with other technical and Business Analyst team members. Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers to ensure customer expectations are properly managed. Also, provide training as necessary to internal and external customers.
Accurately update and maintain all business rule tables and rates for APD products and perform quality assurance testing within the administration systems for Chicago and other APD locations as required
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system administration systems doe Chicago and other APD locations required.
Perform rating analysis including review, design and testing on APD rating IM's and SR's as assigned, research rating algorithms/logic for APD business and present findings to Management, propose various options for performing the rating functionality for new business oppurtunities within adminstration systems, partcipate in product rollouts and attend all related project meetings, and conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience/Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent. 2-5 years customer service experience. Strong administrative, written, organization and communications skills required. Prior knowledge of commissions, month ends procedures, rating models a plus. Solid clerical skills. Typing @ 40 wpm. VSC and/or insurance/warranty experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, peers and all levels of management. Working knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Abilities: Must be a team player. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments. Detail oriented with ability to problem solve. Dependable and able to work overtime as needed. Flexible with scheduling. Good follow up skills. Ability to work with month end deadline, with possible overtime, a must.
Contact with others: 50% communicating with customers via telephone, fax, and email. On-going communication and follow-up with all employees and field representatives.
