Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a friendly and customer-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to join our team in Canton.Essential Functions: Provide first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems.Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone or email.Evaluate inquiry by determining nature of issue as hardware, software, or user.Resolve inquiry by researching documentation; providing answers; referring to appropriate resource.Track status of inquiry resolution by checking with referred resource.Notify client of resolution status by reporting progress.Ability to perform basic IT tasks.Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing inquiry and service trends.Create, implement and manage a preventative maintenance system.Specific Skills/Abilities/Experience: Help Desk experience and/or experience in creating a preventative maintenance system preferred.Strong customer service and problem solving skills.Highly organized.Ability to present technical information.Excellent communication skills.Basic Requirements: High School degree required. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.Must have valid driver's license and automotive insurance.This is an hourly position with offered benefits of: Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Term Life, Retirement, and Paid Time Off.Background checks and pre-employment drug screens will be performed.
