This position is primarily responsible for developing and
implementing recreational activity plans that are age appropriate,
consistent with the level of growth, development and functioning of
the residents we serve and consistent with the overall treatment
plan/goals. This includes maintaining a schedule of activities
and outings. Must also maintain the documentation of services
rendered from the recreational perspective and be an active member of
treatment team meetings.
Must hold a bachelors degree in a relevant field (recreational
therapy, music therapy, art therapy, occupational therapy, etc.);
also must be certified (CTRS - Certified Therapeutic Recreational
Specialist) or in pursuit of such and become certified within an
agreed upon timeframe from date of hire. Must be willing to
work flexible hours.
