GENERAL JOB SUMMARY Position is based in Anderson AFB Guam The Security Consultant develops security policies procedures and security certification and accreditation (CA) packages for government activities worldwide This position requires an ability to perform required tasks to each customer’s satisfaction with little supervision ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Manages personal task schedule to ensure milestones are met and projects stay on track Serves as customer interface and liaison on task matters and prepares project status reports prepares for and conducts customer briefings and Technical Interchanges Develops System Security Plans and other security documentation as required Performs threat vulnerability assessments and provides certification recommendations Directs and conducts security tests and evaluations provides technical support in the evaluation of security products Develops information systems security studies and reports that address areas of information system security concerns Develops edits and reviews certification and accreditation documents Provides consultant services in all areas of information system security including physical security administrative security personnel security computer security operations security and industrial security Maintains currency on governing directives Promotes company services and products and provides input and direction to company developed products SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY No Supervisory Responsibilities KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Must possess 5+ years of experience in the design development architecture and integration of engineered security requirements into computerbased systems security evaluationassessment and certification and accreditation processes specifically DIACAP and NIST Proven communication skills to include giving formal presentations Be familiar with military organizational structures and positions Ability to direct the development of information and information security systems based on understanding the information gathering and manipulation requirements of customers A secret government clearance is required to start in this position EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in computer science electrical engineering information systems information management or other related technical discipline If no degree then 10+ years of practical working experience is acceptable DoD 85701m IAT Level III certification (eg CISSP CISA GSEC GCIH SCNA GSE) Preferred technical certifications include Cisco (CCNA or above) Microsoft (MCTSMCITP – Windows 7 platform) Previous training or experience with implementing DIACAPAFCAPNIST programs is desirable WORK ENVIROMENT The work environment characteristics are representative of those of an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical officeworkstation situation Able to work sitting or standing at desk and operate a computer via standard input devices such as using a keyboard and reading information on a monitor THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE INTENDED TO DESCRIBE THE GENERAL NATURE AND LEVEL OF WORK BEING PERFORMED BY INDIVIDUALS ASSIGNED TO THIS CLASSIFICATION THEY ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE CONSTRUED AS AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF ALL RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED OF PERSONNEL SO CLASSIFIED A REVIEW OF THIS CLASSIFICATION HAS EXCLUDED THE MARGINAL FUNCTIONS OF THE CLASSIFICATION THAT ARE INCIDENTAL TO THE PERFORMANCE OF FUNDAMENTAL JOB JUTIES ALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS AND ARE SUBJECT TO POSSIBLE MODIFICATION TO REASONABLY ACCOMMODATE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO PERFORM THIS JOB PROFICIENTLY THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED IN THIS DOCUMENT ARE THE MINIMUM LEVELS OF KNOWLEDGE SKILLS OR ABILITIES DIACAP, DoD 8570.1m IAT Level III Certification, NIST, CISSP, CISA, GSEC, SCHI, SCNA, CSE
