CHS/ Shipman Elevator Co . has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations retail division! We are looking for a Precision Equipment Sales Representative to work with farmers, ranchers, and producers. You will sell, install and service Precision Ag Equipment and other services offered by the cooperative to area producers. You must be able to make sound decisions, have the ability to influence others and work cross functionally. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
You will:
Conduct sales calls & presentations, and make recommendations to our valued customers regarding Precision Tools to include: Yield Monitors, Guidance and Steering Systems, Automated Control Systems. Work with the Coop Agronomy team to develop the process of incorporating yield data into fertilizer recommendations. Spend a majority of time in the country working with growers/producers to earn business and generate sales to increase business. Service and install Ag precision equipment. Establish and maintain effective public relations through customer education and the promotion of new products and services. Support, backup and assist sales staff in other territories. Assist and work with the operations team to develop and maintain precision Ag tools used by the Coops application equipment. Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner. Coordinate inventory of used and new parts within the Coop. Coordinate with accounting staff to ensure accurate invoicing. Work Monday thru Saturday and extended hours in season. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
2 or 4 year degree in Ag Technology, Ag Systems or Ag Mechanic degree.(Related job experience may substitute for education.) 1-3 years sales experience MS Office (Excel, Word) Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend and twist. In-depth knowledge of agronomy Must be able to work Monday thru Saturday with extended hour’s in-season.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Mechanical abilities with precision Ag equipment experience.
