JOB SUMMARY: Performs retrospective audits of patient accounts to ensure that charges are accurate and are reflected in the documentation. Must ensure patient safety requirements are met.
Knowledge, Experience & Special Skills: Two (2) to five (5) years direct clinical patient care and/or utilization review process. Working knowledge of pre-certification process and payor reimbursement. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other healthcare team members, verbal and written communication skills. Internally motivated with the ability to work autonomously. Knowledge of computer hardware and software application and standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS STRENGTH FACTOR: L - Light Work - Requires exerting up to 20 pounds of forceoccasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even thought the weight of those materials is negligible.
