Job Description: The Corporate Equity Dealmaker is part of a small team who finds, develop, define, and close equity investments and acquisitions in order to met strategic needs and objectives of various technology sectors within Intel Capital. Incumbents are responsible for 1) identifying and screening potential deals and equity investments, 2) advising management about the merits of potential deals, 3) obtaining internal agreement on negotiating positions and strategies, 4) ensuring that the terms of any deal make business sense for Intel, and 5) acting as part of the external negotiating team. The individual will be responsible for deals from initiation through closing, and post closing monitoring. This position requires a high degree of interaction with organizations outside the company at the executive level, and will require frequent travel. Strong understanding of content and service business models. Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously. Strong networking, negotiating and marketing skills are essential. Development and negotiation of contracts involving intellectual property. Experience developing and/or negotiating contracts involving software, content and/or services are required.
5-10 years of investing experience in venture capital or private equity
5+ years of experience specifically focused on Mobility with:
-Deep understanding of communication/connectivity space WPAN, WLAN & WWAN technologies and trends.
-Deep understanding of mobile processor / baseband segments and trends in SoC development.
-Deep understanding of Mobile OS, Application space
-Deep Understanding of Mobile Device Industry and global trends across smartphone, tablet and notebook segments
-Solid understanding of key trends in critical subsystem & device components segments including touch, display, battery etc.
-Critical understanding of major mobile applications trends around mobile payment, mobile advertising etc.
Operating experience (startup) is a plus
Able to develop investment strategies and source high quality deals
Exceptional presentation and communication skills

You'll be part of a small team that makes strategic investments in innovative and disruptive technologies focused on mobile technologies. We're looking for someone with deep understanding of the Mobile Device, Mobile Processor, Mobile OS and Application space with knowledge of carrier & service provider industries.
Your responsibilities will include 1) identifying and screening potential investments, 2) working with Intel business units to evaluate these emerging technologies and the opportunities to leverage in future Intel platforms 3) advising Intel Capital management about the merits of potential deals, 4) obtaining internal agreement on strategies and negotiating positions, 5) post-closing management of investments by sitting on company Boards representing Intel. This position requires a high degree of interaction with executives both inside and outside Intel and will likely require travel.
