The Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of our third party applications. This position will work closely with our business users and other analysts in a small team environment. This position will be responsible for integrating applications, where reasonable, and providing software support to our end users. This position will also interface with the Help Desk and technical staff to support and troubleshoot the appropriate application.
Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables
Tier III support of third-party applications.
Strong knowledge of Networking/Server Administration and how these interact with third-party applications.
Performance of recovery processes to restore system to full functionality, if necessary.
Implementation of application patches and enhancements.
Author applicable scripts and SQL Queries to automate repetitive functions.
Analyze current design and recommend changes that will improve business processes.
Application set-up, design, user maintenance, and system maintenance.
Works with vendors to resolve application issues.
Exceptional customer service.
Strong Project Management skills.
Documentation of processes, procedures, best practices, as well as development of training materials of the processes to support a ‘train-the-trainer’ philosophy.
Primary liaison with product technical and customer support teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education / Experience
High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in IT field preferred
Three years experience working with one or more of the following: Apprise (financial system), Cognos Finance, SharePoint, ImageNow (document imaging), Altiris, Microsoft Project Server, FrontRange HEAT (Help Desk), Business Objects Enterprise, among others.
Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 experience.
Experience with Call Recording Software a plus
7 years of experience in IT field
Two or more years experience working with business systems and related computer applications, with emphasis on application integration.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Server Administration, SQL Server or relational database, and Network topology.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential.

Advanced knowledge of MS operating system and products
