iBasis is seeking a motivated, analytical and commercially orientated sales person to serve as Account/Country Manager within the South American Team. The Account/Country manager will be responsible for a subset of accounts and countries in South America and managing margins and revenues for a set of assigned countries. He or she will contribute actively to the business using proven sales and purchase skills to support and guide the commercial activities. The account manager will be working in the South American team and reports directly to the Regional Manager of South America.

Managing sales margin and revenue on a customer level by actively looking for new/extra margin, either through selling hubbing minutes or by creating bilateral deals
Managing termination margin on a country level through actively analyzing new opportunities an negotiating better costs with current vendors
Our ideal candidate is a qualified sales person with a proven track record within international wholesale sales & purchase environment, with at least 5 years of experience in the industry. An energetic team player, the individual needs to be self-motivated and is able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experienced working in an international organization, the role will have some requirements for travel within LATAM countries, and occasionally to Boston, USA. Living and working in Miami, FL. Preferential knowledge of the wholesale voice market. Needs to speak, write and read fluently in English and Spanish language.
