The Admissions Counselor will service every need of prospective students and their families through each step of the enrollment process; this service will be performed primarily via the method of tele-counseling. The Admissions Counselor will move students from inquiring about the university to applying, to acceptance, and ultimately completing financial check-in and enrolling in courses. The Admissions Counselor will also assist students via e-mail and occasional on-campus visits. The Admissions Counselor will work with support offices to solve student problems and address student concerns.

- Counsel students on admissions requirements and transfer guidelines
- Counsel students on the financial aid process and scholarship opportunities
- Counsel and guide students through Financial Check-in (payment plan, housing selection, etc.)
- Counsel and assist students with course registration and choosing a degree program that will best match their desired career
- Work in the Welcome Center assisting prospective students and their families with the enrollment process
- Other enrollment duties and responsibilities as needed

- Serve prospective students and their families at College For A Weekend (CFAW) four times a year. This event will require a six day work week. This support includes welcoming students to the weekend campus visit, answering enrollment questions, and connecting students with the offices and programs to which they are interested in learning more. The event also includes meeting one-on-one with prospective students
- Serve prospective students at the Friendly Friday events scheduled various times throughout the year. This assistance includes welcoming prospective students and the families to what is often their first visit at Liberty. Develop a relationship and rapport with the families over lunch and answer any questions they may have about the university. Also, the counselor will meet one-on-one with the prospective student and their family to provide answers to any enrollment questions they may have
- Serve as event support staff at Winterfest, once a year, offering students the opportunity to submit an application
- Serve prospective students at Orientations, assisting students with the final steps of the enrollment process and welcoming them to the university.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to the mission of Liberty University
- Bachelor's degree required (or job experience as deemed appropriate by the Resident Enrollment management)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail a must
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop relationships and rapport with students and their families
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and a knowledge of Excel
- Represent the office and the university in a professional manner, organized and possess excellent listening and discerning skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude that will promote a healthy office climate
- Ability to adapt to change and a strong desire to work in a fast paced environment, the ability to multi-task
- Takes initiative, highly motivated
- Ability to work a 12 PM - 9 PM shift Monday through Friday, a Saturday shift between 9am - 9pm, Sundays 1pm - 5pm, and the interest to occasionally work beyond scheduled shift as deemed necessary by Resident Enrollment management

Preferred Qualifications:
- LU experience helpful
- Sales experience helpful
