MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of an active, unencumbered, unrestricted and valid Louisiana registered nurse license to practice professional nursing plus an active, valid Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license or temporary permit. NOTE: The temporary APRN permit allows an APRN applicant to work in a limited capacity for up to 120 days while awaiting review for full APRN licensure by the nursing board. An APRN applicant cannot medically diagnose or medically manage patients until they are licensed and have prescriptive authority. If the APRN license is not received within the 120 day period and the permit expires, the employee must be removed from the position. NOTE: Certification will be verified by LA State Board of Nursing prior to granting licensure.

Responsible for performing the full scope of nursing practice involving a high level of autonomy and independent practice.
Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care consistent with medical treatment and care in collaboration with a physician.
