Staff Psychiatrist Practice Opportunity

The Dublin, GA VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to provide primary health service delivery to an outpatient veteran population. Treatment will include comprehensive assessments of the physical, psychiatric, emotional, and social needs of individuals with diagnosis including (but not limited to): psychosis, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and organic mental illness. Experience/training in the provision of psychiatric services as well as behavioral interventions among an adult population is desirable, as is experience working with veterans diagnosed with PTSD. Adheres to operational policies and procedures as established by VA leadership and the Mental Health Service Line Director. Psychiatrist will be expected to establish and maintain appropriate communications with other health care programs inside and outside of the Carl Vinson VAMC in order to effectively coordinate services for our patients.

Salary Range: $97,987.00 - $195,000.00 /year

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Psychiatrist: Applicant must be proficient in spoken and written English; possess/maintain a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia; meet physical requirements for the position. A degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine, degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible Psychiatry.

You must have a certification, licensure, or registration credentials in licensure for this position. In some cases, these may be substituted for experience and education.
