Robot Product Manager Position OpenYork PA MASCPA Member Company Primary focus is technical sales support of robots and automation to plastic injection molding industry. This manufacturer is a one-stop supplier for turn-key solutions in the injection molding industry, producing injection molding machines and providing automation solutions, mold project engineering, as well as training and services. Their new generation of linear robots are ideally suited to automating tasks in injection molding applications. If you have at least 5 years experience selling robotics solutions to systems integrators or end users, after an initial 3 to 4 months of training (in Austria) you will be one of their technical experts on injection molding machines and parts-handling automation used on compact, lightweight, lightning-fast, heavy-lifter, machine-mounted parts-removal servo-robot and multiple axis robots. In this capacity, you will be working closely with the sales force to identify and pursue qualified accounts in target industries within the US and Canada as well as supporting sales activities with presentations on product detail based on applications. You will be an advocate for robot automation solutions and beyond, from injection molding machines to automation, mold project engineering, training and services providing support to targeted accounts, working closely with key decision makers to achieve business development goals, and managing customer project requirements. Travel Requirements: US/Canada travel approximately 60%. International travel (Austria/Germany) approximately 10% Initial 3 to 4 months product training in Austria is required
Essential Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements: Engineering Degree (BSEE, BSME) or equivalent experience Minimum 7 years field sales and/or technical application experience of which 5 years have been selling Robotics Solutions to Systems Integrators or end users Ability to evaluate opportunity risk vs. reward Solid communication skills to train and support field sales team Solid written and verbal communication skills, including exemplary presentation skills and excellent proposal writing Computer proficiency – knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience documenting activities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and providing timely reports Proven track record of developing and achieving monthly and annual business plan forecasts
