The Respiratory Therapy Assistant assists the Respiratory Care staff by performing clinical duties in accordance with the department policy and procedure manual and as allowed by the South Dakota State Licensure. Serves patients with regards to age specific / cultural diversity needs. The Respiratory Care Assistant provides cleaning, assembly, testing and trouble shooting of respiratory equipment, and stocks supplies necessary for patient care. Education/Experience
Previous experience working with medical professionals preferred.
Must pass all Clinical Education Program tests, quizzes, and competencies with 100%.
Post high school education or experience in computers is preferred.
Certified Nurse Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician training is preferred.
Formal training in Medical Terminology is preferred.
Must maintain current CPR/BLS certification. New employees will be given 90 days grace period to complete this certification.
Physical Demands Work Hours 40 hours week. 12/8 hours shifts.
