DUTIES:
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing litigation support services in the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Illinois. Typical work assignments will include:
Advising litigation teams on automation requirements and system capabilities to facilitate litigation decisions, trial preparation, and trial presentation.
Organizing documents for efficient automated storage and retrieval.
Recommending a variety of software packages for the most efficient presentation of complex evidence.
Preparing computerized trial presentation programs.
Analyzing litigation support requirements to develop or recommend appropriate strategies to meet litigation needs.
Diagnosing and resolving litigation support computer system problems and customizing databases and programs to meet individual user needs.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of Legal Administrative Specialist (Litigation Support). Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: organizing documents for efficient automated storage and retrieval; recommending a variety of software packages for the most efficient presentation of complex evidence; preparing computerized trial presentation programs; analyzing litigation support requirements to develop or recommend appropriate strategies to meet litigation needs; advising litigation teams on automation requirements and system capabilities to facilitate litigation decisions, trial preparation, and trial presentation; diagnosing and resolving litigation support computer system problems and customizing databases and programs to meet individual user needs.
There is no education substitution at the GS-12 level.
If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
