Wound Care Clinician - Part-time - 1347331
The assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients, specifically those with acute or chronic wounds; works in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan and perform patient treatments. Responsibilities can also include ostomy management and education, as well as management of fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues.
Bachelor’s Degree and current licensure in the State of Georgia as a healthcare professional in one of the following fields that contribute to the skills demanded in wound care such as physical therapy, nursing, or occupational therapy. Two years of clinical experience preferred. CPR certified. Additional training, education and / or experience in the assessment, treatment, and prevention in the areas described under responsibilities. Must be able to evaluate data and make independent decisions, using written and verbal English communication. Must possess tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds frequently and to tolerate prolonged walking and standing. Must have sensory skills to differentiate clinical signs and symptoms and the emotional stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations including emergency response to a patient incident.
