Lead design, analyze and decompose of requirements, and guide the SQL component of those requirements to deliver applications to the business. The applications include a proprietary metadata/ETL system, a revolutionary query

management system and data access features for our analytical tools.

The Lead oversees projects/tasks to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established requirements, specifications, schedules, and budgets; coordinates interdepartmental and inter-company functions in order to minimize delays; meets with project team members on a daily basis to review program status and plan future actions.


  • Provide communication and updates to stakeholders
  • Work with line of business Portfolio to drive process improvements, compliance and communications
  • Drive improved planning and coordination - specifically around
  • To identify opportunities and execute projects/tasks to improve the visibility of resource allocation in planning and execution
  • Tie process improvements into the existing execution framework
  • Interpret and lead design of functional units based on requirements including integration and performance criteria
  • Lead Building and integration of functional units
  • Ensure Unit and system test functional units based on performance and integration criteria are present
  • Follow coding and architectural guidelines and ensure team members follow established process
  • Investigate and report major deviations, active or developing, for analysis and rectification
  • Proactive and reactive problem solving, preferably the former, to anticipate problems and correct situations before they take down the system
  • Guide Suggestions for improvements or value-added processes to support or enhance this role
  • Work with the system and database administrators to ensure smooth operation of the application as a whole

  • Ensure Applications operating within the parameters set out by their performance criteria
  • Effective communication with interface points to this role including the Leaders, Business units, DBAs, system and network administrators,
and business analysts from time to time


  • Professional and consistent work ethic including contributing to discussions and projects whenever and wherever possible
  • Clearly articulated oral and written information about tasks and their status
  • Timely delivery of tasks, e.g., such delivery expectations are understood and managed and deliveries are performed
within those expectations


  • At least 2 years experience with algorithmic development,
equivalent) and the Windows environment

  • Comfortable with PL/SQL or procedural programming
  • Experience with writing procedures, functions, packages, triggers mandatory
structured programming examples (e.g. exposure to similar in school or any experience with object oriented languages)

  • Structured approach to designing, building and testing application units
