Position: Applications Development Manager
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 + 8% Bonus + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation +++

Position Description:
The Applications Development Manger role is to supervise and maintain the organization?s repository of software
applications through best practices, as well as, oversee the staffing and management of the technical team. Responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems
necessary for business operations.
Will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to
the design, development, and the deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
The Applications Development Manager will also work closely with the IT Director, as well as cross-functionally, in
order to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective business solutions for all aspects of
the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that applications meet business requirements and system goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify
and resolve systems issues.
Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or
leveraging these systems.
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and
development efforts.
Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to
existing applications throughout the enterprise.
Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration.
Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance,
and interface specifications.
Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice
based on findings.
Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations.
Provide technical leadership to project manager, business analysts and programmers working on development
project teams.
Develop, disseminate and enforce functional policies, procedures and quality assurance best practices.
As necessary, prepare, establish and monitor budgets.
Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding
contracts/agreements.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related discipline REQUIRED.
Minimum of 4 years direct experience managing applications and/or systems management.
PMI Certification.
Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development and implementation of software solutions.
Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Must be highly self-motivated and directed.
Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects throughout the project life-cycle.
Experience in the implementation of ERP systems, Business Intelligence, and Factory Floor systems.
Previous experience with Operations and manufacturing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be willing to travel 25-30% (some Internationally).
Must be willing to work occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines and support a 7 day/24 hour
manufacturing environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in a variety of programming languages and applications, such as:
C#
.NET
SQL-Stored Procedures
Triggers and Queries
Platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint
INFOR Syteline ERP, or other comparable ERP Systems
Experience working with technical specifications, flow charts and procedures
