Hiring Range: $55k - $72k

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Director of Digital Marketing leads and serves as the digital subject matter expert for the publishing vertical in online, offline and emerging channels. They are responsible for working with internal and external teams, as well as other News Corp entities; to develop or coordinate plans to meet digital requirements as well as the company’s overall goals and mission. They oversee web initiatives, interactive marketing strategies, digital products (such as apps & enhanced ebooks), email marketing, social media and the integration of those into overall marketing strategies & plans.

Provide strategic direction, insight and execution for product development (physical/digital) as it relates to digital integration; and interactive marketing recommendations and plans to advance product marketing and sales initiatives, including e-commerce and campaign sites.

Advise & direct publishing vertical on online media initiatives, including sourcing creative direction, UI and marketing communications direction.

Develop unique solutions, using intuition and new ways of thinking to form original ideas and present information in an attention getting and interesting manner.

Work collaboratively with various teams to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for digital and all other related products.

Assist in the development & execution of social media campaign strategies for the vertical. This includes, but is not limited to, initiatives such as marketing and promotional campaigns for authors and books.

Utilize market data and consumer research to stay abreast of industry trends to constantly improve our digital marketing initiatives.

Challenge and experiment with new technologies/methods in order to lead change in the book marketing world.

Manage critical information feedback loops from various sources, including internal and external stakeholders, surveys and website metrics to measure KPI’s and continually improve the ROMI of marketing initiatives. This includes testing; tracking and analyzing the ROMI of marketing spend.

Keep abreast of emerging technologies and communities in the social media space and report back to marketing teams suggesting ways to integrate into existing and future campaigns.

Foster relationships with existing marketing partners and identify new opportunities to further marketing initiatives.

Create emails (HTML and text) and Web pages, database/email list maintenance, and coordinate with staff to ensure proper setup, testing, deployment and tracking of email/online campaigns.

Define SEO requirements for product management thru recommendations for site enhancements, as well as, drive the development of SEO strategies & KPI benchmarking to ensure that various marketing goals are met.

Work with the Sr. Research & Web Analyst to analyze online booking patterns and business trends and identify opportunities to drive sales and increase market share.

Manage and execute ongoing optimization and new strategies for display campaigns, including creative briefs, image direction, comp review, tracking, a/b testing, and reporting.

Manage budgets associated with digital M&P

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Personal Characteristics):
Required

Minimum of 8 years in Christian product marketing

Bachelors degree required

Experience with interactive marketing and site strategy development

E-commerce and optimal user interface and user experience in interactive environments

Experience in all aspects of developing, maintaining, and executing digital marketing campaigns

Extensive knowledge of Analytics, Social Media, SEO and SEM

Interactive business analysis and forecasting

Working knowledge of HTML and various online programming languages

Online media advertising planning and execution

Experiences with website creation including content and managing requirements for web design

Consumer research

Highly effective in communicating vision and direction, both written and verbal

Exceptional time management, project management and organizational skills

Excellent problem solving skills

Customer focused attitude
