High school diploma require, Associate Degree preferred. 2 years scheduling and registration experience required. Advanced scheduling/registration experience preferred (Superuser/Template Editor). Resource scheduling experience preferred. Background in medical terminology preferred. Medical Insurance Background required. Strong Customer Service experience required. Call Center Experience preferred. Ability to work with stressful situations.

The Access Services Specialist will plan, coordinate, schedule and register outpatient appointments as well as complex procedures to optimize patient flow for designated area of responsibilities. The scheduling duties will involve coordinating and scheduling outpatient appointments as well as procedures (depending on scheduling area) The registration duties will involve verifying and updating patient demographic, referring physician, and insurance information. Responsibilities will also include verifying insurance eligibility as well as providing co-payment/payment requirements as it relates to scheduled outpatient appointment(s).
