Responsible for the ongoing strategic development,
implementation and management of the Hospital's Quality and Infection
Control functions. Responsibilities include achieving national
patient safety goals and national hospital quality core measures;
development of quality improvement plans and reports; managing the
survey process for Joint Commission accreditation and required
licensure; communicating with accrediting and regulatory
bodies. Must have strong clinical knowledge, experience and
expertise in order to be an extremely important part of the
management team, as well as a major contributing factor to the
overall success of the Hospital. Candidate must possess a high
level of Quality Management expertise and background as well as
in-depth knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory
agencies. Knowledge of statistics, data collection, quality
improvement methodologies and data presentation is necessary.
Highly developed organizational and interpersonal skills.
Training of leadership and staff required as to the quality
improvement plans and the role of others and their responsibilities
in these plans.
MS in nursing or MBA. CPHQ
required. Licensed RN strongly preferred. Minimum of
5 years experience in a leadership/management position. Must
posses a high level of recent Quality Management expertise and
background. Knowledge of statistics, data c collection, quality
improvement methodologies and data presentation. Highly
developed organizational and interpersonal skills
