This position administers and manages daily Resource Center operations as a continuum of support services available to students and staff within the Vocational Training Services (VTS). This position is also accountable for the marketing of the Resource Center to its primary stakeholders (WWRC students and staff) and for the supervision of assigned student workers within the Resource Center. The Resource Center must comply with quality accreditation standards, as documented by the Accreditation Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE), as well as relevant Center and Agency policies, procedures, and expectations. This position is also responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Job Seeking and Job Keeping Skills, as well as related alternative learning instruction for Vocational Training Services students, as requested by lead WWRC teachers and/or to provide substitute classroom coverage, and serves as a liaison with the local Virginia Employment Commissioner/WIA Workforce Center for shared employment resources, including VEC registration targeting graduating WWRC students. This position may also provide career counseling support to students' assigned Rehabilitation Teams through services available from the Resource Center and attends Rehabilitation Team meetings, as appropriate and relevant.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires knowledge of: ADA, the Virginians with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act, WIA and related federal/state legislation that impacts the employment of persons with disabilities; basic library cataloguing, filing, and reference systems Windows-based computer software applications to include, at minimum, word processing and spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

B.S. Degree and Direct work experience with persons of diverse disabilities in an education, rehabilitation, or other human service field strongly preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Special Requirements

This position requires a valid Virginia Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within thirty (30) days of employment. Graduation from high school or equivalent required. B. S. Degree preferred.
