Component Design Engineer
Job Description: This position involves working in a highly interactive team that has the central role in capturing transistor characteristics of Intel' latest silicon technologies using sophisticated compact device models and supporting use of these models by product teams across Intel and external Foundry customers. The position involves the following responsibilities: 1) Extracting compact model parameters (process files) from i-v and c-v data for developing semiconductor processes, 2) working very closely with other upf extraction engineers and those who use process files such as process engineers, design engineers, and compact model and circuit tool developers, and 3) Developing and maintaining various process file extraction, quality and performance estimation tools.
The candidate should possess an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with graduate level courses/projects relevant, device physics device modeling, and circuit simulation. They must also have good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team/support environment.
- This position requires a strong background in semiconductor device physics
- Good background in electronic circuits.
- The candidate should have demonstrated software skills, e.g. C programming and scripting in languages such as Python.
- Direct experience with compact model parameter extraction is a plus.
