Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator Location: 1801 S. Liberty DriveReports to: IT DirectorDepartment/Team: Information TechnologyFLSA: Xexempt hourlyLast Updated: 01/09/2012Purpose and Objective The Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for design, deployment, and maintenance of physical and virtual Linux servers.
DUTIES
Essential Functions (Primary)Day to day functions include the following: ** Maintain Linux-based servers** Identify potential issues before they happen, and propose timely and cost-effective solutions** Update systems periodically** Coordinate with Windows Systems Administrator in identifying & maintain network (wired & wireless) Additional Functions (Secondary)Candidates who cannot perform some of all of these duties because of disabilities will nevertheless receive full consideration for the job based on their ability to perform essential functions: ** Assist Windows Systems administrator** Assist with end-user support
QUALIFICATIONS
