This position is Seasonal, working May-August only. Thursday evenings and Saturdays required.
Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner; providing prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing member transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizing Universal Financial Workstation, processes various member transactions including, but not limited to:
o cash withdrawals
o cash deposits
o loan payments
o loan transfers
o share to share transfers
o draft deposits
o visa payments
o cash bonds & checks
o selling Money Orders & Travelers Checks
o selling US Government Bonds
Obtains adequate member identification.
Ensures receipt of accurate and complete vouchers. Documents money received and disbursed.
Communicates directly with members:
o advises prospective members of the advantages of Credit Union membership
o sells and cross-sells on the advantages of Credit Union new and existing services
o responds to questions and problems relative to member accounts and/or referring members to appropriate Department for handling
Responsible for daily balancing of all monies:
o conducts trial balance
o performs end-of-day balancing
o orders or returns money to vault to maintain authorized starting cash fund
Responsible for opening and closing of Universal Financial Workstation and maintaining proper security measures throughout the day.
Performs related duties and special requests as assigned. May include, but not be limited to: covering drive-thru window.
Process a wide range of transactions on a daily basis which require heavy communication with members, respond to member requests/inquiries and selling/cross-selling Credit Union products and services. Tactful and professional behavior while adhering to Credit Union policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to operate a Universal Financial Workstation, fax, calculator and copier.
