We are currently seeking a Food Runner to join our Empress Lounge and Bar team. This full time position will report to the Empress Lounge Manager and Assistant Manager.
Provide assistance to servers and bartenders in Empress Lounge, continually delighting our guests with a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service.
Retrieve completed food and beverage orders from the kitchen and/or bar; ensuring accuracy and delivering items in a timely fashion.
Greet and pleasantly interact with all levels of guests and management in accordance with our Mandarin Oriental LQE's.
Assist servers and bartenders with routine cleaning duties and ensure the lounge and back house areas are clean, stocked and properly organized.
Successful candidates must possess the following required skills & expertise:
Fluency in English, both written and verbal with excellent communication skills.
Must be a proven organized multi-tasker with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be physically competent in order to stand/walk for 6+ hours per day; must be able to pull/push/lift up to 20+ lbs. occasionally; must be able to physically handle and carry food trays; must be able to climb/descend stairs occasionally.
Have a strong working knowledge of food & beverage including wine, cocktails and various food items.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Previous food and beverage experience is required.
