The Laboratory Client Services unit will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls from patinets, other employees, and internal & external customers. The C lient Services Representative is expected to handle inquiries and complaints quickly and effectively with excellence in customer service in mind at all times. The C lient Services Representative is required to monitor various activities related to the Laboratory Information System according to policy and procedure and is also expected to perform various duties in support of the histology/pathology work unit.
The Laboratory C lient Services Representative is also responsible for managing various databases related to patient orders. He/she must recognize Quality Assurance issues and report/document according to policy and procedure.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of Medical terminology and Laboratory Medicine.
One year of customer service experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Basic computer skills including typing/keyboarding and ability to proficiently use a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office.

Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to effectively utilze the english language in verbal and written form.
