Parsons is a joint venture partner on the island of Guam performing a Base Operations Support (BOS) contract for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. The joint venture (DZSP 21 LLC) manages, maintains and operates various services to meet our customers’ mission requirements. Our services encompass manage, maintain and operate various services which affect our customers’ daily requirements. Our services encompass facilities and infrastructure, ordnance handling, transportation, logistics support, port operations, utilities and utility systems (power, water, wastewater, and de-mineralized water), environmental, food services, contingency / emergency management support, administration of the Navy’s Safety and Occupational Health Program; and public affairs.
Project: Base Support Vehicles & Equipment
Part of our Base Operations Support contract is providing a well-managed and executed Base Support Vehicles and Equipment Program and transportation services to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Transportation provides a services program that encompasses the timely and safe delivery of various types of incoming, stationary, and outgoing vehicles and equipment, a licensing and testing program, an engineering equipment operations program, a fueling services program, dispatching services, a maintenance/repair/alteration/modification program, field maintenance & towing services as well as maintenance and management of shop equipment.
The Director of Transportation is responsible for directing the development and implementation of a robust and effective Transportation program, as well as planning and directing the navy transportation programs, policies, and initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with navy transportation experience and extensive knowledge of base support vehicles and equipment. This position is located in Guam.
Candidates are encouraged to apply at
- 7+ years of management experience in a transportation center with at least 3 years of experience as Director or Manager in charge of the operations
- Must be experienced in the operational, maintenance, and administrative areas/functions of an industrialized / commercial transportation program, with significant preference given to Navy Transportation experience
- Must have Base Operations Support experience (strong preference for Navy BOS specific experience)
- Although currently not required, candidate may be required to obtain and maintain “secret” level security clearance.
