WISCONSIN AIR NATIONAL GUARD

This position is located at 115FW, Madison WI.

This

position is open to the following areas of consideration:
Area
I - All dual status military technicians in the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

This position is restricted to current military members currently employed as an indefinite or permanent (Tenure 1, 2 or 3) technician within the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Military Grade:
This position is only open to current military members within the grade of O-5 promotable to O-6. Applicants must currently hold a minimum pay grade of promotable O-5 to qualify for this position.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:
This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

**Acceptance of any military technician position may cause the termination of entitlements and eligibility for all military bonuses and student loan repayments. For further information you must contact the appropriate military education office.

This position is located at an Air National Guard Flying Wing. The incumbent of this position functions as the full assistant to the Air Commander. Its primary purpose is to provide leadership and management of the flying unit, to provide manpower, equipment, and training in peacetime, in preparation to perform the wartime mission. The incumbent is accountable with the Air Commander in complying with a wide variety of federal, state, and local authorities on all aspects of operations, personnel, equipment, funds, and real property in the accomplishment of duties. In addition, this position may have similar supervisory and/or support responsibilities for other flying and non-flying units which may be collocated or geographically separated.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education or training in managing or
directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service
organizations. Supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work
experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management
principles, practices, methods and techniques. Experience using computer and
automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-14 -

Must
have at least 36 months e

xperience analyzing problems, identifying
significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions;
preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating
objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective
utilization of various resources; Must have knowledge of the organization and
its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying
analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the
efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by
administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support
functions.

Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed.

Experience which includes leading, directing
and assigning work of personnel.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Military skill set is determined by AFSC requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC.

Substitution
of Education for specialized experience

A maximum

12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful
completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the
rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience. The education must have
been in fields directly related to the type of the work of the position (i.e.,
management, business administration, oral communications, accounting,
economics, etc.)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Incumbent must maintain membership in the Wisconsin National Guard.

For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

The wearing of the military uniform and abiding by the customs and courtesies as prescribed by applicable military service regulations are conditions of employment.

Employees will be required to participate in direct deposit/electronic fund transfer (DD/EFT).
