Directs, organizes and plans the timely and efficient sales, fitting, assembly, repair and distribution of custom wheelchairs, seating systems, power wheelchairs, scooters, and all other rehab equipment. Responsible to the HME director for the financial and operational success of the department. Develops and facilitates seating and positioning clinics in conjunction with specialist treatment team members including Physical Therapist, Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers, Occupational Therapist, and Wheelchair assembly, repair and fabrication technicians.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college. Intermountain Healthcare verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment.

Two years rehab experience.

Basic Life Support certification (CPR/BLS) for the Healthcare Provider is required. An original card will be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn. For more information regarding Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification, please click HERE .

Certified through RESNA in seating and positioning as an Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP)

Demonstrated ability to manage a department’s financial performance to ensure its operations remain within budgeted guidelines.

In depth understanding of the HICPIC, ICD9 coding system

An extensive understanding of all rehab equipment

An extensive understanding of disabilities and debilitating diseases

Extensive understanding of seating principles

Ability and knowledge to direct, organize and plan the timely and efficient fitting, assembly, repair and distribution of custom wheelchairs and seating systems

Current driver's license, access to insured and reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record to comply with the policies and procedures maintaining insurability of Intermountain Healthcare (less than 75 points within the last 36 month timeframe)

Preferred Qualifications

Two years experience selling medical equipment and supplies
