The Vice President of Finance will be part of Group Commerce’s management team and responsible for providing executive leadership and management of financial resources to ensure the achievement of Group Commerce’s business plans and objectives. The VP of Finance is also responsible for the company’s overall financial plans and policies to insure GAAP compliance. They are expected to ensure the quality of financial management throughout the organization, including processes, business analysis and providing detailed financial reporting and strategy to the entire senior management and executive team, Board of Directors and investors.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, commissions, and cash management

Lead the business through the challenges of growth and position the company to capitalize on undiscovered opportunities

Manage monthly and quarterly financial reviews with department heads, CEO and reporting to the Board of Directors

Monitor expenditures for compliance with the approved budget; reporting expenditures and variances to senior managers and Chief Executive Officer

Work to develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting & statements for distribution & review by organization’s Chief Executive Officer, senior management team, and Board of Directors

Lead staff through an annual budget development process; conduct mid-year budget review to assess and project variance from annual budget and make adjustments as needed

Be responsible for the proper controls and compliances, including but not limited to revenue classifications and allocations of expenses

Management of the annual audit and all external financial reporting

Provide executive leadership for significant financial growth

Provide strategic input into pricing and financial models

Develop, measure, and maintain key financial metrics

Skills/Requirements:
10+ years experience, with demonstrated increased responsibility at the senior management level

Start up experience preferred

Strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

Demonstrated ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of an organization

High level of integrity and dependability

Results driven and success oriented

Experience in rapidly growing international business

Experience working within a fast moving entrepreneurial environment

4 year University degree, CPA preferred, MBA a plus
