The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the management of care for a specified group of patients in accordance with mutually agreed upon protocols within the policies and procedures established by the Department of Nursing, the American Nurses Association and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Master’s Degree in Nursing required, or completed alternative certification requirements for graduates of nurse practitioner programs prior to April 1, 1989, BSN and/or MSN preferred. This is a days position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Ambulatory Care Network.
Current New York State Registered Nurse License required. Current New York State License as Nurse Practitioner in area of practice required. National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice preferred. Basic Life Support Certification for all Nurse Practitioners who provide direct patient care required.
