The ePrize Director of Legal Services oversees the day to day operations of the ePrize Legal Services Team and insures that the Team provides on-going support to the Client Services Team, Sales Team, Talent Team and any other person/team within ePrize in need of legal services or guidance. The Director of Legal Services is ultimately responsible for insuring that ePrize promotions comply with all aspects of the law. This will include assisting Sales in scoping promotions pre-sale, offering options to avoid legal hurdles, drafting Official Rules that govern our promotions, and reviewing promotion sites and supporting media for legal compliance. The Director of Legal Services also provides leadership, mentorship and tactical and career guidance to the members of the Legal Services Team. Description and Responsibilities:
  • Setting the vision, direction and agenda for the entire Legal Team:
    • Including the Promotion Administration Team.
  • Offering creative solutions to avoid legal problems.
  • Managing the entire contract process for contracts between ePrize and any other entity:
    • Negotiating and drafting contracts with ePrize clients, partners and vendors,
    • Recording and tracking contracts for easy retrieval and renewal.
  • Supporting the Legal Team in all of its legal needs.
    • Communicating directly with ePrize clients, ePrize sales team, ePrize client service managers and ePrize project managers.
    • Resolving all legal issues (promotion and corporate) that escalate up to the Director of Legal Services.
    • Drafting Official Rules and Terms and Conditions for legal compliance for our promotions.
  • Negotiating and drafting Official Rules with clients.
    • Reviewing promotional websites and advertisements to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Researching legal issues related to promotions, spam and privacy laws.
  • Keeping abreast of new developments in the law and technology relating to ePrize's business as a whole.
Job Specifications and Competencies:
  • 10-15 years of experience in contract drafting/negotiation, corporate and transactional legal work.
  • Ability to manage and supervise team efforts for large scale projects.
  • Proficient in MS Word.
  • Ability to draft Official Rules in compliance with promotions laws.
  • Requires extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Ability to anticipate, initiate and follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and with accuracy.
  • Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Logical thinker with problem solving skills.
  • Strong grammatical/proofing skills.
  • Must be goal-oriented and exhibit a high level of professionalism.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
