Responsible for “on-air” switching and monitoring of program and commercial content in multiple outgoing streams. Monitor audio and video signal parameters in standard and high definition video and various multi-channel audio formats. Serves as a quality control technician for various on-air signals. Also responsible for correctly ingesting commercial and program content from various sources into the station’s workflow. Handles graphics formatting and recall for play to air purposes.
A college degree in Mass Communications or a Business related field is highly desirable. Thorough knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations for transmission, transmitter operations, EAS and program logging and the ability to properly evaluate standard and high definition waveforms and audio levels are required. Must be able to demonstrate competence with personal computer operations, including familiarity with Microsoft operating systems, Outlook, Word and Excel.
