Summit Technologies, Inc. has employment opportunities for a
CCTV and Access Control Technician to work in
Washington, DC . The
positions require that you must have an active Secret
or Top Secret clearance.

Duties and Description:
Provide support in the installation and maintenance on an MDI electronic security systems to include a VICON CCTV System, Access Control, Intrusion Detection and Perimeter Protection

Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings

Terminate and install RG59, CAT5, Multi-mode Fiber, Mag-locks, and badge readers.

Knowledge of Electronic Theory

Install conduit

Install and configure cameras

Setup and configure computers

Work with team members and end users to ensure that all issues are addressed in a timely manner

Set up standard test apparatus and conduct operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model

Install electronics equipment and equipment field changes

Assemble and/or modify wires, insulation, and components using hand and power tools

Initiate requisitions for management approval to replenish parts, equipment, and material required for project and record quantity and type of materials distributed

Technician must possess a high school education as well as 4+ years of experience in a related field

Certification for SAFEnet Software with IDC Hardware, SAFEnet System Administration and SAFEnet Networking & Structured Query Language (SQL) Database at a minimum is required.

Top Secret Security Clearance preferred / SECRET required

Ability to work effectively with group or independently

Exceptional organizational skills

Ability to install CCTV, Access Control and Intercom Equipment

Ability to troubleshoot any system level or individual equipment problems

Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code

Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with co-workers

Manual dexterity is required to reach, climb, and lift small objects and to operate power tools. Employee frequently climbs ladders and must possess the required strength and balance.

The ability to operate a man-lift

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

Must have current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Will be required to pass a background investigation and clearance verification prior to employment.
