Holy Redeemer Drueding Center, located at 4th and Master Street in Philadelphia, is a transitional housing program for homeless women and their children, offering a network of health, social, educational, and vocational programs that focus on helping women achieve independent living.
The Food Service worker is an integral part of the Youth Services team in that this position is responsible for several different tasks including promoting good nutrition. The following duties are charged to this position: 1) maintain a proper inventory including ordering, receiving, and storing food when delivered, 2) developing and following weekly menus for meals, 3) heating and serving breakfast, lunch and snack to the children of the Childcare Center and 4) plan at least one nutritional activity per classroom per month along with preparing special program meals as outlined by Head Start standards.
This position requires several record keeping responsibilities related to policy and procedures and the regulations of the Nutritional Development Services.

According to PA regulation 3270.37 a Day Care Aide shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:
1. A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate.
2. A minimum of an 8th grade education and enrollment in a training curriculum described at 3270.31(c).
The classroom training portion of the curriculum shall be completed.
Documentation of completion of classroom training and continuing enrollment in the training curriculum shall be included in the staff person’s file.
3. A minimum of an 8th grade education and 2 years experience with children.
4. Must be willing to embrace the Mission and Values of the Sisters and of HRHS.
ServSafe Food Safety
certification is a plus.
