North American Engineering and Shutdown Manager
Plan, organize, and control resources and systems to achieve successful, high quality engineering project and shutdown implementation and completion for North American manufacturing facilities. Coordinate and direct engineering projects, making detailed plans to accomplish engineering goals and direct the integration of engineering activities. Implement standard health, safety, environment, and community (HSEC) procedures focused on engineering standards and practice to deliver a consistent level of safety across all locations, training staff and contractors in statutory and company policy. Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of engineering projects and ensure that appropriate resources are available to meet project needs. Manage project budgets. Attract and motivate a team of highly skilled employees and contractors to deliver engineering excellence. Develop roles and responsibilities of managed employees and coordinate the implementation of performance management, succession planning, and career planning in engineering. 40 hrs/wk, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field and five years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience involving reliability or process engineering, project management and maintenance turnaround planning.
