Job Description
Responsibilities: Successful candidate will provide administrative support for the Records and Disclosure Unit (RDU) for a government agency. Specific responsibilities include: Receipt of mail processing throughout RDU Mail forwarding response letters and packages to the public, components, other agencies, AUSAs and other entities as required Case file creation and management Copy functions as needed Data base entry and maintenance to support basic administrative functions Telephonic information processing to the public as required Scanning Provide project reporting as required Other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED: US Citizenship required. Satisfactory DHS suitability determination required. Must be able to obtain a security clearance Have a High School diploma Have one year of office administrative experience Exhibit familiarity and competency in the use of all Microsoft Office products Have experience with learning diverse computer system software as demonstrated in previous work history
Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of Freedom of Information Act 1966 (5 U.S.C. 552); Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. 552a); EO 12958, as amended; EO 13292, Openness in the Government; 6 CFR, Part VIII, Chapter 1 and Part 5; Freedom of Information Act Exemptions; 6 CFR Part 7, FOIA: 1974 Amendments' Major Features; 1986 Freedom of Information Reform Act; 1996 Electronic Freedom of Information Act is a plus. Experience in working with federal government clients Strong interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills are a plus Previous DHS Suitability determination desired Capable of contributing to high performance teams Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision Comfortable interacting with senior individuals
