Sandvik Coromant, the world's #1 supplier of cutting tools and know-how for competitive machining, is currently seeking a Sales Representative for Southern California. The role In this key role, the Sales Representative will report to the Regional Sales Manager and will be responsible for sales calls to Purchasing Agents, Manufacturing Engineers, Plant Managers, CNC Programmers of end users and also through our network of Distributors and Integrators. The successful Sales Representative will grow carbide sales by building value with his/her customers through competitive testing, new product launches, Productivity Improvement Programs, Training Classes, Productivity Analysis and the use of Customer Value Files. In addition, He/She will build a strong distribution network for Sandvik Coromant Products.Key Performance Areas:Include but are not limited to:- Continue upgrading customers' product to meet or exceed yearly budgets as well as being a Productivity Partner with the end user. This will be accomplished by working with local distribution and maintaining an acceptable profit for Sandvik Coromant. - Creating and executing daily, weekly, and monthly plans to grow volume with existing distributors and end user customers and meet established Company sale objectives. - Promoting new products and working continuously to sell the complete product line through a target account strategy focused on those end user customers offering the greatest opportunities in line with Company product objectives. - Prospecting for the new distribution that would improve overall market coverage/share and/or penetration of key end user accounts. - Hosting periodic training and new product meetings with distribution personnel. - Timely submittal of Reports in line with Company expectations.- Maintaining and representing Sandvik Coromant's values and culture in the most professional way possible.
Your Profile The ideal candidate will possess: - Technical systems competency and a technical school degree or better. - At least 3 years relevant experience - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with customer application knowledge. - The ability to think independently and be self-motivated. - Strong project management and problem solving skills are required.Benefits Sandvik Coromant offers a competitive compensation package.
