Prepare food in quantity for the residents and personnel and guests.
Flexible schedule required, may include evenings and weekends.
Must hold a current Arizona Food Handlers Sanitation card.
Must be at least a high school graduate and preferably have a course in food production, sanitation, and safety. Vocational or technical education desirable. Must understand, speak, read and write fluent English.
Have at least two years in institutional cooking. If experience is lacking, on the job training must be received until adequate experience is obtained. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must show proof of a current negative TB test.
Know basic principles of quantity and quality food production, sanitation, safety, and the maintenance of equipment in working area.
Must understand the therapeutic diets.
Must be able to do mathematical calculations in changing recipes, estimating quantities required, portioning food, accurate in weighing and measuring foods.
