The City of Norfolk Department of Utilities is seeking an Office Assistant in the Water Production Division. This position is important for providing essential administrative function for the Moore's Bridges Water Treatment Plant.

Essential Functions:
Duties include: clerical functions; answering and directing telephone calls, typing reports and correspondence, posting training for employees, filing and maintaining records, sorting incoming and outgoing mail receiving and distributing supplies to proper parties, running errands and making deliveries.

Education/Experience:
Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
Six-months of experience in clerical work.
