*Plumbing Assembly Technician*
•Assemble various models of central plants according to drawings or blueprints.
•Use bills of materials to determine the specific parts or components required for the unit.
•Estimates time and material needed to perform jobs.
•Use various measuring/calibrating devices to ensure items are assembled according to specifications.
•Inspects work to ensure high quality assembly.
•Maintain machinery to prevent failures or breakdowns.
•Work at different work stations as production needs require.
•Backflow, gluing, pipe bending; pipe cutting; pipe joining; pipe threading; pipe threading machine; piping; power tool operation; punch list; quality assurance/control; soldering, pressure reducing valve installation, pump installation, load, stack, and transport stock, tools and WIP by hand, hoist, crane or truck.
•Meet quality standards.
•Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment. Maintains orderly work area.
•Must have own basic plumbing hand tools
•Follow safety requirements including personal protective equipment. Corrects and reports unsafe situations or working conditions. Reports all accidents immediately.
Perform other routine duties.
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
•Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
