JOB PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential job result satisfactorily. The employee is responsible for
the following -job results-.

REPAIRS EQUIPMENT AND BUILDINGS
By
Performing all prescribed maintenance on all equipment
Following manufacturers requirements, federal and state requirements,
insurance requirements
Completing all required maintenance logs and records; trouble shooting
malfunctions quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
Assembling and testing machines to verify correction of malfunction

INSPECT ALL EQUIPMENT AND BUILDINGS

By
Observing, monitoring, and adjusting equipment during operations
Performing inspections and servicing as prescribed by manufacturers or
governing bodies

MAINTAIN HISTORICAL RECORDS
By
Ensuring that all maintenance information on all equipment and
systems is recorded in compliance with company requirements
Recording and documenting all work performed
Completing in detail and turning in all work orders so that proper billing
can be achieved

ENSURE SAFE AND DEPENDABLE OPERATION OF ALL
EQUIPMENT
By
Performing periodic tests and inspections on all equipment
Monitoring and testing equipment regularly
Referring to equipment technical manuals to ensure proper procedures
are followed and proper settings are maintained
Notifying manager of any condition or occurrence that may adversely
affect the safety of operation or the quality of the experience of our
guests
Observing housekeeping, bar or restaurant operations to ensure they
are safely and efficiently operating equipment and making suggestions
to the supervisors or managers when abnormalities are noted

MAINTAIN INVENTORY AND SUPPLIES
By
Checking inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
Anticipating needed supplies
Verifying orders upon arrival

TEAM PLAY
By
Performing tasks for other departments (restaurants, bars etc.)

MAINTAIN TECHNICAL AND PROFESIONAL KNOWLEDGE
By
Reading trade publications, attending training, work shops, and
communicating with peers at other resorts and our sister Intrawest
Resorts
Reading mountain operations manuals, employee handbooks, and
manufacturers manuals

MAINTAIN SAFE AND CLEAN WORK AREAS
By
Maintaining work areas and shop areas clean and neat for coworkers,
guests, and inspectors
Following all company safety policies and procedures
Following all manufactures safety policies and procedures
Attending company and departmental safety training meetings
Using proper PPE (personal protective equipment)

PROVIDE FREINDLY SERVICE TO GUESTS AND OTHER
EMPLOYEES
By
Conducting yourself in a friendly and courteous manner at all times and
provide efficient, timely service to guests and other staff
Assisting and instructing guests when ever asked
Answering questions or concerns of guests
Assisting other departments in their daily routines pertaining to the use
of the equipment

CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
By
Accomplishing related results as needed
Performing other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
The k
nowledge, skill and ability an incumbent must have in order to
accomplish the job results and to perform the fob duties.

Education: High School Diploma or equivilant

Prior Experience: Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing and applicances
Specific Experience: Maintenance work or simolar trade work.

Length of Experience: 2 years

Specific Certifications, Licenses Required:
Must have current and valid driver’s license

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has some responsibility for assisting, instructing, directing
or checking the work of others. It does not have any formal supervisory
responsibilities.

GENERAL LANGUAGE & REASONING ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply
common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and
ability to adjust focus. The incumbent is required to be mentally alert
while performing this job.

Any Intrawest employee who operates a company vehicle including cars, trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, or heavy equipment is required to comply with the Intrawest Driver’s Standards Policy. This policy also applies to employees driving their personal vehicles for company business more than four times per month, averaging 30+ miles per trip.
