Position Summary Information
Dean College invites applications for the position of Part Time Instructor of Sport Management in the School of Business. We seek candidates with a passion for teaching and for providing transformational learning experiences for our students.
The Business School seeks a versatile instructor with a strong academic background in sport management, marketing, and general management as well as experience as a practitioner in the field. The successful candidate will teach courses in introduction to sport management, organization and administration of sport, and sport law as well as courses in marketing, human resource management, organizational behavior, and operations management. The candidate will teach 3 courses per semester and attend faculty meetings and college-wide events. There may be the opportunity to develop special topics electives as appropriate.
A Master’s in Sport Management plus professional work experience required; College teaching experience is required; experience teaching students with diverse learning styles is necessary. Experience with course management systems (i.e., Moodle) and instructional technology is essential.
