We are currently seeking applicants for a Manager (Incentive Compensation Design) position to join our San Mateo, CA office. Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below and relevant work experience.

Managers leverage their experience to take responsibility for projects and immediately lead client relationships. As a Manager, you will:

. Manage projects and client relationships

. Drive business and strategy development

. Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills

. Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members

. Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas

As an incentive compensation design specialist, you will also be expected to contribute to the practice area through

. Client/Project Management

-- --Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables

-- Help clients to build and maintain fair and motivational incentive programs

-- Assist clients with design decisions to design a sales incentive plan

-- Work with clients to establish effective metrics for sales incentive plans

-- Identifying additional sales and marketing opportunities during your projects

. Practice Area Development

-- Develop innovative best practices and continually enhance ZS incentives capabilities

-- Drive training and adoption of best practices throughout the firm

-- Build new business by participating in presentations, proposals, etc.

What opportunities exist at ZS?

ZS project teams are usually composed of teams of up to 20 people drawn from different levels of the firm. Working with teams on major consulting assignments encourages a close working relationship with ZS Consultants, Managers, Principals and clients. The exposure to clients encourages an understanding of the critical questions facing sales and marketing executives.

ZS provides organized training, which continues as on-the-job learning. Upon joining, a New Employee Orientation provides information on basic tools, resources and key ZS practice areas. In addition, several training sessions are offered each month, ranging from broad business topics to specific technical instruction. A Professional Development Manager will provide career guidance, and project performance evaluation will help identify areas for innovation and growth. As your career advances, your active participation in business and strategy development grows.

Required Experience:
. Bachelor's degree in related field (quantitative or management discipline preferred). Master's degree preferred

. 8+ years of experience with a focus on incentive compensation design

. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales incentive compensation design programs

. Prior business development experience

. Ability to build teams and develop people

. Strong presentation and communication skills

. Client expectation management

. Proven ability to thrive in an unstructured environment

. Ability to work independently and within a team-based, collaborative environment

. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, strengthening analytic and project management skills and incentive design expertise
