About the role:
The Weblogic Administrator works as a member of a team responsible for the design and implementation, configuration and administration of Oracle Weblogic servers implemented on GM Standard platforms (Windows, Suse Linux and Sun Solaris). The Weblogic Administrator will handle all integration tasks while working closely with both Unix/Windows system administrators, Database Administrators, and GM Architects. This role will ensure proper configuration of the Weblogic software in relation to each application (Custom development or COTS). The Weblogic Administrator will also be responsible for documentation and support of processes involving application installation and patching, performance improvement, availability of business server platforms, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working in a UNIX and Windows environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle WebLogic Server.
- At least 3 years of experience in supporting java and J2EE applications deployed in multi-platform environment.
- Experience with both VMware and high-availability architecture.
