The Patient Services Assistant Supervisor will supervise the daily activities of the service centers and accepts responsible for the quality and quantity of work, methods and procedures, cost and personnel within the department. Responsible for client-based phlebotomy services and ensures that PACLAB is professionally represented.
Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the “service center and area”. Is responsible for the quality and quantity of services at their location.
Will be responsible for developing scheduling system for personnel.
Will assist in the writing and updating of all procedures used in the PSC’s and POL’s.
Will assist in the development and promotion of job descriptions and responsibilities.
Will conduct performance reviews on staff in accord with company guidelines.
Will perform coaching and counseling of staff when needed.
Will coordinate the transportation duties with the PAML Transportation Manager.
Will coordinate the building maintenance with the PAML Service Center Manager.
Will coordinate public relations of PAML clients with the PAML Client Retention Staff.
Will serve as backup for area staff if needed (this will include traveling throughout the region).
Will coordinate communication lines between PAML and their service area.
Will promote the Sisters of Providence Values and Code of Conduct.
Certification in Phlebotomy.
Three (3) years of recent full time phlebotomy experience.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Excellent driving record.
Preferred education, skills or experience
Prefer two- (2) year’s previous supervisory experience in laboratory setting.
Previous experience in an outpatient or reference laboratory.
Previous computer experience, with good typing skills.
Prefer experience with point of care testing.
