Internship Goal: For interns to receive overall snapshot and understanding of graphic design within Digital Marketing, particularly Social Media, Web and Email Marketing. The objective is to gain a better understanding of the sports and television industries and what graphic elements resonate with fans helping the intern hone design skills and grow their portfolio.

Internship learning objectives and expectations of student: Interns are to observe and assist with preparation and distribution of digital marketing materials, along with providing general departmental support as needed. We are seeking a self-motivated and creative graphic design intern proficient in Adobe Creative Suite to assist the Digital Marketing team. Responsibilities will increase with successful completion of assignments.

Sample assignments may include:
  • Resize images and create photo galleries for
  • Creating static graphics to be used on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+)
  • Apply text treatments to images
  • Creating thumbnails for email blasts
  • Support digital marketing team with graphic creation
  • Adapt and repurpose existing art
  • Assist with graphic updates across digital platforms
  • Help brainstorm creative ideas
  • Assist with projects as needed

  • Qualifications/Requirements
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or within 3 months post graduation
  • Degree seeking student in Graphic Design
  • Adobe Creative Suite software knowledge. Must be proficient in Photoshop & Photoshop Elements. Illustrator, DreamWeaver and InDesign a plus
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS preferred but not required
  • Awareness of emerging web technologies
  • Ability to organize with tight deadlines and manage priorities and time management
  • Highly self-motivated with keep attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of golf preferred but not required
    + Excellent oral and written communication
    + 24 hours average per week
