CNH is seeking someone with
specialized experience to develop in System Architecture (SA) the Functional Safety Plan
for the electronic control systems consistent with project and SA objectives and focused on international ISO NORMS (25119,15998,13849).
Support the development and introduction of the safety related process into the EH-SA engineering.
Develop technical safety solutions for in-home product development.
Owns and coordinates the vehicle functional safety systems definition and integration activities.
Develops line consistent with the Platform or team objectives, giving evidence of the functional safety requirements needs.
Release and Delivers Functional Safety Plan and if needed Technical Safety Concept including the system requirements and system definitions, Test and Validation specifications for use by internal and external parties such as the software engineers, test engineers, manufacturing engineers and technical publication.
Define Quality requirement for software to achieve safety objectives, design and maintain the Company Safety Case.
Owns and coordinates the system design.
Work with Platform Engineers, System Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Validation and PASD Engineers to define/refine control approach and the control software for the vehicle functions of the combine harvester machines.
Review new product development specifications/requirement documents to determine Embedded Software requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronic Systems
or relevant Engineering Degree. Masters Engineering degree preferred.
Strong Focus on Software Quality and process ( Spice, CMMI ).
Knowledge of Advanced Documentation Management Systems (DOORS). Formal system development processes skills, focused on functional safety. Knows
FMEA, FTA, FMEDA and HAzop risk analysis
. Knowledge of
Functional Safety Theory
, with specific on-the-job experience.
Safety certification highly preferred (example: TUV). Knows ISO 25119, ISO 13849, ISO 15998 and / or safety relevant standards ( IEC 61508, ISO 26262 ).
