Position Title: Payroll Auditor - Australia
Position Reports To: Sr. Manager, Payroll
Location: Hong Kong

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Payroll Auditor will be a representative of the Payroll Department supporting all stores in Australia. In this role, the Payroll Auditor supports payroll and compliance processes and procedures and will research and resolve any issues in accordance with local laws. This position will report directly to the Director, Payroll in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate the collection and processing of documentation as required by law
Assist with getting proper documentation from Store Associates to set up payroll records in order to pay associates correctly. This would include, but is not limited to: bank documents, social insurance, tax and other identification documentation required for compliance and payroll processing
Assist in filing for statutory payments, including sick leave from the local governmental agencies.
Respond to governmental inquiries as it relates to Payroll questions/documents.
Work with Payroll in the Home Office to assure timely payrolls.
Review payroll output reports for accuracy and distribute as required to the associate or government agencies
Work with Store management in resolving payroll related issues
Assist in year-end processing and distribution of any required governmental reporting
Assure the timely delivery of statutory reports to governmental institutions
Assist with keeping the personnel files up-to-date at all times
Assist with various HR related administrative tasks as needed
Supports Home Office with research on local laws, customs, culture initiatives, and transition for expatriates moving into Australia
Partners with Stores Human Resources on HR related projects as needed
Assists with employee entry process

Completed Bachelor's degree or four year equilvalent. Degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred
One to Five years of Payroll experience preferred
Must have business level command of English or better.
Ideally proficient in Australian country laws pertaining to payroll, such as taxability, work rules and governmental reporting
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to research and resolve problems with very minimal turnaround time
Must be able to meet critical deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Knowledge of basic HR processes and employment laws in Australia preferred
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and GlobalView (SAP) preferred
10% travel may be required
